Mollie is an editor working in both narrative and documentary film as well as a variety of web and television content.
Recent work includes Like Father for Netflix, which stars Kristen Bell, Kelsey Grammer, and Seth Rogen, and received 10 million streams in its opening weekend. Other recent films include the upcoming Someone Great, starring Gina Rodriguez, and The Incredible Jessica James, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance film festival where Deadline called it "enchanting, deftly-written and witty." Previously, Mollie edited Little Men, directed by Ira Sachs (Love is Strange). Peter Debruge of Variety called it "a little gem, tenderly observed, brimming with truths about modern life." The film was also praised by New York Magazine's culture blog Vulture, which excerpted what it called one of the best scenes of the year.
Mollie's first feature was Palindromes, for director Todd Solondz, which appeared at the Venice, New York, Telluride, and Toronto Film Festivals and was distributed by Wellspring. Other highlights include The Missing Person, starring Oscar nominees Michael Shannon and Amy Ryan, which earned a Gotham Award nomination for director Noah Buschel; and the Independent Spirit Award nominee Monogamy, which won Best New York Narrative at the Tribeca Film Festival and was distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
Mollie freelances for a variety of companies when not working in television or film, including The Criterion Collection, The New York Times, and Refinery29. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in American Studies & Film Studies. Mollie is represented by Tara Kromer at Gersh and is a member of the Editors' Guild.
